June 29, 2018 was our first event of the year and very successful. This event had been planned for several months and I pounded away to get the word out. We are very grateful to everyone who stepped up to help us.
These two Police Officers worked very hard for Mecca's Pit Bull Rescue and we have great respect for them. They have reached their hands out to help us in many ways. Our lives were brought together through dogs. As I say many times lives are brought together by dogs.
My husband worked two grills and he was a great chef and he is such a great support of our efforts to build a strong foundation for this rescue. He and I met through rescue, so once again dogs brought lives together.
Myself and one volunteer were spotters taking positions when someone needed to step out. We were busy for five straight hours and it was so worth it in the end. With this being a first event of the year, we learned a few things too.
