You may have been wondering how the rescue has been doing this year. This year has been very challenging with everything we have faced during the Pandemic. We managed to help save lives and be as safe as possible as we continued to move forward.
As always the rescue believes in being as transparent as possible because people like you want to see the work that is being done. We have earned GuideStar.org 2020 Platinum Seal of Transparency.
By donating you can feel confident you are making a difference in a dogs life.
You can always help by donating on www.GreatNonProfits.org in search find Mecca's Pit Bull Rescue and there you will read great reviews. You can make a difference!
The dogs you have been helping during 2020.
Tucker above in the newest rescued dog. You can follow him on Facebook Mecca's Pit Bull Rescue-Voice One Project page. He came in to rescue with no training and now learning new skills. By donating you are helping him.
Brooklyn above is estimated 10 years old and was once on craigslist. We believe she is a Boxer/ American Bulldog mix. She was in a bad situation and there were people reaching out to the rescue to help her. We managed to get her in before she was destroyed. She loves people and would be ideal for someone who is not very energetic and just wants a good companion at home. By donating you are helping her too.
Rufus above came into rescue he was going to be euthanized because he failed one test. I seen what the behavior was and we pulled him. As soon as he got into rescue his training started. Rufus is adopted and you are helping dogs like him by donating to Mecca's Pit Bull Rescue.
Johnny above came into rescue he had body handling issues and it took weeks into months to help him with this. He is now adopted and his new guardian continues to train him. Changing a behavior can only begin with proper training and being consistent.
Odin above was finally adopted after 19 months in rescue. You may have no idea of the training he received during his time in rescue but he was a very obedient dog over the months as we watched him grow.
Marley was rescued she was no longer wanted in her home. She is a great dog and as we worked with her we found her to be very gentle and had great manners. She was adopted!
Titus is still looking for his forever home. He needs someone who does understand him. A person who understands leadership. He has been through a lot in his past and a special training plan had to be set up for him. He can be cuddly but he needs the correct home. We are still working with him.
You can make a difference in a dogs life !
